On Saturday we had Linc's soccer game and then wanted to take Tres and Sherry to the beautiful finger lakes for a boat tour and lunch. It ended up being super windy by the lake that day and all of the boat tours were closed. We went anyway, it's such a gorgeous place and we thought it would still be worth it for them to see the area and we still had a fun seafood lunch.
You can see in the photos how windy it was. Both the boys could only brave it for a few minutes before they wanted to head back to the car.
After lunch we hit an antique mall on the way home. Tres loves antiques and wanted to find something from this area as a memento of the trip. The mall we went to was huge, I've never sen so many antiques we had so much fun just looking around. I was really surprised how well the boys did, but I think all of the neat treasure even interested them.
Lincoln's grandpa Arnie sent him some birthday money and he chose to spend it on this great find. He's really into rock collecting and grandpa Tres has an amazing arrow head collection. When Linc saw these he was thrilled and picked one out from this area between the years 2000-3000 B.C. He loves it and even took it for show and tell the next week at school. Oliver picked out an antique hot wheels car from the 60's, perfect choice for him, and only $1.
