I can't believe he is that old! What a sweet little boy! I'm so glad to have him as a part of our family. He makes us laugh hard everyday, he loves so hard and shows us in so many ways, what a snuggle bug. He really enjoys life and helps everyone around him enjoy life more fully.
I really wanted to have a party for him this year, he has yet to have one, unlike his brother who has had one every year since his first. Having a birthday in December is tough, but even more so right after a move and so many other crazy things going on right now.

We tried to do as much as we could with the time we had. My nephew's baptism was scheduled that day, and also a special dinner with grandpa Arnie that night. We decorated his bed per tradition and he awoke to streamers, balloons, and some presents.

We got him a doctors kit, he's been saying he wants to be a doctor like uncle Rusty when he grows up for a while now, and we new it would be a big hit. Especially being able to administer shots!

We also got him the game "break the ice" and a spider man helicopter. Grandma got him a ninja motorcycle, complete with really annoying sounds, so Oliver is in new toy heaven.

We got hit with a lot of snow that day, which made travel pretty scary. Grandpa Arnie cancelled the dinner that night, which was sad, but also made it easier for us to take Ollie out and actually have a bit of a party for him, which made me feel a ton better. We called Angie and asked if she wanted to join us for a spur of the moment birthday party. I was so glad they all came, it made it even that much more special for Ollie. He loves his cousins!
We took him to this place called Toads. They have mini golf, laser tag, arcade games, pizza and prizes, he had a riot. The laser tag freaked him out and he lasted all of 5 seconds, but was content to go and watch everyone else finish up the game. He loved the golf....
and the virtual roller coaster. He and Alexa were so cute laughing so hard on this ride.
We ate some pizza
blew out some candles

How fun!!
The streamers on the bed are such a great idea! I'm glad it all turned out with the impromptu part. Happy birthday Oliver!
