In celebration of the 4th of July this month our primary had a wheels parade in our church parking lot. The kids had so much fun learning about bike safety, maneuvering through obstacle courses, decorating their bikes, and then having a grand parade. Oliver fell instantly in love with this little car that his nursery friend Liam brought. It was bright red and fit him perfectly, he sat inside beaming forever just content to be with it. It was seriously hard getting him to let it go, but once the kids started decorating Ollie was totally into ripping the streamers to shreds. Perfect distraction. Lincoln did an amazing job riding on his bike that at times still seems a bit big for him. He looked like a pro! It was good just seeing all the kids have so much fun doing something as simple as riding a bike. This world seems so high tech sometimes, I love that the simple things can still be such a hit! Happy 4th of July to all, aren't we grateful for this wonderful land of ours, it's beauty, and endless opportunities.
I'm going to try and upload a short video clip here, but haven't ever done it in Blogger , so will see how it goes.

Annacy and Simon love looking at pictures of Lincoln and Oliver. Annacy always wants to see how Lincoln can ride his bike. He is amazing. She also was wondering about your dog and made me ask how Rosa is doing. (yes still obsessed with dogs-yet totally afraid of them) Looks like you are all so happy and having fun. I love love love the paintings you did on Olivers room. Sooooo cute.
