Lincoln has officially shed the training wheels and is know a speed racer on two wheels. We're so proud! Really, he has been amazing at it all joking aside. He has such a determined personality, he worked pretty hard at it, and sacrificed his legs not wanting any help from us. We took the training wheels off when we first moved here, and let him try it out on the grass, but once the snow started he obviously hasn't had a chance to practice since November. I was surprised when we got the bike out a few weeks ago, and he really just took off on the driveway. He fell a ton, but kept getting back up and by the end of the day was biking the length of the driveway and back. Last week we took him along our Erie canal trail, and he cruised! He went more than a mile, and on those junky little bikes that way a ton, that's a real accomplishment. We promised him an upgrade this spring for all of his hard work, he's pretty excited and proud of himself. Way to go Linc!
