cold, but fun day at the park

We have such spring fever at our house right now. Some days the boys energy level just cannot be contained inside, and since we really don't have a yard here at Tres and Sherry's, we head over to this pretty parkway near the house. It has a beautiful trail that we look forward to riding our bikes on when spring has officially srung, but for now we've just been playing on the park equipment and exploring the river that follows along the bike path.
It still has some snow in patches and because the boys have been watching a lot of the Olympics Oliver has decided that he will now be skiing everywhere he goes, hence the above picture.

Our puppy is growing up so fast and has the biggest paws which we know her body will soon grow into, which is a bit frightening. We love taking her to the park and running some of her puppy energy out, she then naps for the remainder of the day.

Oliver found these huge slabs of ice, he said "they are amazing" and spent a half an hour picking them up examining them and breaking them into to little pieces.

His hands were like little ice cubes when he was finished.

Linc's favorite spot is down by the river, he's all boy and loves getting muddy and slimy with algae. The grosser the better.

Cold, but refreshing and fun. Hearing the birds in the trees and breathing in the crisp air makes me long for the warmer weather.
